Fire Pit Problem

I have a couple of fire pits in my garden. I like to give the patio a little extra character and it also helps to warm us up. The problem is that I never used to use fire pit covers and it ended in a disaster. That’s why I either use the one that came with it, or buy one that suits the design in a better fashion.

The incident happened last week and it caused me a lot of work. As I was sitting in my garden, the fire pits were burning and I was working on some papers that needed completing. If the weather is nice in the evening I always head outside, and though most of the time I use my computer, on this occasion I needed to sign documents.

As I got up to get a drink from inside I didn’t take into account that the wind was picking up. A quick gush hit the garden and sent my files flying off the table. Some were ok just going on to the floor. But others leapt into the air and hit the fire pits in my garden. They caught on fire and ruined the whole set of files.

If I had the spark screens on my fire pits the papers wouldn’t have hit the flames.  They wouldn’t have burned and I could have signed them without any hassle. I wouldn’t have had more work to do and I could now be resting. The guards on fire pits help more than you think.
