The gas firebowls are much cleaner than the wood ones. You can easily start and stop the fire without any particular cleaning. You also do not need screens to protect yourself when using gas firebowls. But, this type of firebowls are usually more expensive and plus you will need additional money for glass beads or ceramic logs. Since they use gas, propane or natural, they need to be connected to gas lines the where the stored gas is. If they use propane gas they are much heavier and bigger in size because they include gas tank, and this is not very convenient because you cannot easily move around this gas firebowls.
