Mass S’mores on the Fire Pit

If you have a fire pit and cooking grate but no grilling forks to roast marshmallows for s’mores, have no fear. With a little aluminum foil, you can still make s’mores on your fire pit cooking grate. And, you’re able to roast more at one time, and it’s less messy! It’s a win-win way to enjoy that classic outdoor fire dessert.

Fold ten sheets of aluminum foil about 10 by 15″ in half crosswise. Oil the top sheet, and then place a graham cracker in the center. Place a chocolate piece and marshmallow on top and then top with another graham cracker. Fold the foil over the s’more so that it is sealed. Roast the packet on your fire pit grate over hot coals until it is melted (about 2 minutes) flipping the packet half way through. Take off with tongs or a holders, unfold the foil, and enjoy a nice, gooey s’more sandwich!

Want to make your s’more gourmet? You can really fancy up your s’mores by the kind of chocolate you use. A chocolate bar with almonds or toffee can add a rich taste to the s’more, and dark chocolate will give a dynamic flavor. There’s also flavored marshmallows like caramel, or search online for homemade marshmallow recipes and create your own! A delicious and easy dessert for a grill out!
