Yes, indoor fireplaces are truly magnificent. They keep us warm and enhance the complete interior. On the other hand, outdated fireplace that doesn’t suit the rest of the décor can really bring the room down. While we cannot always allow ourselves a new piece to replace the outdated one, we can rely on creativity and work, and redo the one we have.

This project can either be easy or massive, depending on how we expect our new fireplace to look like. If small redecoration is what it only needs, this won’t take a lot of effort and time. We can add a new mantle, place some photos, flowers or sculptures on it, and we are done. But, if we need to completely revamp it, we may want to add a new facade of stone or tiles, redesign the chimney, or even call a contractor with fireplace experience to help us out.

An old fireplace often only needs thorough cleaning, painting and small arrangement with architectural details to revive its appearance. It’s a time and effort consuming job, but it will give new charm to our indoor space.
