Times I wish I had a Fire Pot

There are a wide number of reasons to get fire pots for your garden, but the top reason is safety. My friend found out the hard way and will never make the same mistake again. It all happened on fireworks night, with a silly blend of alcohol and bare flames.
On fireworks night the chances are a group of people will get together and build a fire in the back yard in a big fire pit. My friend did so, without any guard for the fire, and not really knowing what fuel he was using. It started off safe enough with a controlled fire with limited fuel.
The problem started when a few drinks had been consumed. The occasionally person would throw a new piece of wood on the fire, and then a firelighter. Before we knew it all members of the group were throwing items in the fire and it was getting out of control. This was about the time that some fireworks had started to go off.
When the fire got out of control all the grass surrounding it started catching on fire. Most people moved away not knowing what to do, though many placed items in the flames. We started to put it out, but it was quick and had started to burn a nearby bush. The branches were catching and was now fully out of control.
We soon used the hose and washed down the flame, and luckily no one was hurt. But on a night like this, unless safety precautions are used it can get out of control quickly. If you aren’t experienced, then fire pots are a nice touch instead.
