Description
The DeckProtect Pad will protect any wood or combustible surface from extreme heat produced by portable fire pits and chiminemas. Enjoy your fire pit on your wooden deck with no worries! Place your favorite fire pit on your wooden deck with the DeckProtect Fire Pit Pad and be worry free. Simply place the Deck Protect Fire Pit Pad under your fire pit and enjoy!
Please Note: The Deck Protect Pad is meant to go between the legs of your pit, not under the legs. When measuring your firepit you should measure the space you have between the legs.
This fire pit pad is a unique product that is layered with carbon filler. It is fire proof from radiant heat that a chiminea or fire pit produces. The heat that radiates from a fire pit is on average 1,000 to 1,200 degrees. DeckProtect has been tested at these temperatures and will withstand 1,400 degrees for an extended period of time without damage. Hand crafted with only the finest materials for longevity and aesthetics. DeckProtect ™ (pat. pending) is proudly manufactured in the United States woven with volcanic rock fibers.
Purchase a combo with the pad and metal rack or just the pad. The rack lifts the pad of the deck and allows air to flow through so moisture does not get trapped under the pad. The metal rack also provides a sturdy base for the mat.
Don't be fooled by other products, this is the ONLY product on the market that is fire proof! See the image on the Additional Info tab for an example of a fire pit pad purchased where the store claimed it would protect their deck!

Great Pad! Definitely protects my wood deck and absorbs the heat from my fire pit. My only wish is that the pads could be offered in a bigger size. For the occasional flying embers, there's no protection because the pad is too small. But, for its size, it is an excellent product.

So far, so good. I have a composite deck and a 36 inch round fire pit. The bottom of the fire pit was getting so hot that it started melting the deck. I purchased the 36 x 36 pad/tray combo. The legs on my pit are 18 inches apart - at the time, there was nothing small enough to fit BETWEEN the legs as they recommend you do. I thought the larger the mat the better. The major concern with the legs sitting on the mat is that they are hollow metal legs and that it might tear the material. I place a small 4 x 4 inch paving stones under each leg and I have had no issues with tearing the material. However, I can see how it could be easily torn. I have dogs and when they walk over it, their nails leave small puncture marks. A little tug of the material and the marks go away.

although I have not yet used the pad and stand it looks like it is made of fine quality material and should do the job great.
