Fire Pit TablesFire Tables: The Perfect Addition to your Patio
Create a fire table that will be perfect for entertaining and keeping everyone warm on those chilly nights. These fire pit tables serve many purposes, use them as a fire pit, cover the top and use them as a full outdoor table or you can even use them as an beverage cooler! Table firepits are perfect for outdoor entertaining all year long. Fire pits with tables are outdoor entertainment centerpieces. They are designed to encourage elegant dining, intimate conversation, and are perfectly suited for refined social events. Patio Fire Tables are frequently featured at luxury resorts and hotels. Thankfully, they are affordable enough to grace any outdoor living space. When fueled by gas or propane, fire pit flames can be adjusted to different heights. There is never any worry about smoke. Fire glass is often part of the presentation, and rightfully so. They reflect the dancing flame and invite calm reflection. Installing a gas firepit table couldn't be simpler. Fire tables need approximately 7' of breathing space above the flame and 2' around the perimeter of the fire pit itself. Many fire pit rims are already sized for this 2' perimeter. The table top and base normally come separately. Pre-assembled hardware on the table top usually attaches with wing-nuts that can be hand tightened. Beneath the table are the propane tank fittings and/or gas adaptors. (Natural gas lines and connections must be installed by licensed contractors). For most gas fire tables, liquid propane tanks fit into a sliding compartment beneath the table. The fittings are clearly labeled. When using propane, remember that the nozzle operates opposite of plumbing fixtures. (Turning a nozzle all the way to the right ensures it is off). Make sure the propane tank is off before attaching the fire pit hose. After the hose is attached, open the nozzle to the left and spray the fittings with a solution of soapy water. If any bubbles appear, shut the tank off and re-attach the hose. NOTE: Never test propane connections with a flame. Propane gas is heavier than air and accumulates near the floor. Always allow time for the gas to disperse if the soapy water treatment indicated a leak. Some tables have electronic igniters that are activated by an AA battery. Lighting fire pits with igniters is a three-step process consisting of opening the propane nozzle, then holding in the igniter, while simultaneously turning the fire pit switch to the on position. Once the flame is established, let go of the igniter switch, but keep pressure on the switch for approximately one minute. When you let go, (if the fire pit is receiving the appropriate amount of fuel), the switch will automatically pop out. At that point, you can adjust the flame height by pushing in the switch and moving it to a high, medium, or low setting. To shut the fire pit off, turn the switch to the off position, then close the propane nozzle. Never leave the propane nozzle open when the fire pit is not in use. Although this process seems complicated at first, it soon becomes intuitive. It is wise to check the hose and fitting with soapy water if it has not been used in a while, or if the table has been jostled.
